CARA STEWART

chief branding officer | west coast operations

founder | wundermarx

She’s not conventional, but after two decades devoted to creating movements and branding ideas, Cara Stewart knows that only the original thrive. She began her career at the Orange County Register as a staff writer, covering the county’s historic bankruptcy, before diving into public relations, marketing and branding for early-stage and publicly traded technology companies, including Ingram Micro, and charging up strategic communications for the City of Anaheim Public Utilities in California. This self-starter also helped to give voice to the innovation economy and the entrepreneurs leading its revolution by founding WunderMarx, a Southern California-based top-ranked integrated communications agency, in 2001. In May 2018, Cara co-founded MyJane, the first curated cannabis experience for women in California, and led the brand to a successful acquisition by MJIC Inc., in January 2019. Cara serves as a branding and communications adviser to c-suite executives and boards of directors. She also is a member of the Alzheimer’s Association #ENDALZ women’s luncheon committee and president-elect of International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Orange County chapter.
